Our journey began with a simple concept: when you need a snack, you deserve delicious, nutrient-dense options that are all-good for your body. We started experimenting with air-crisped Kale Chips in the kitchen of The Daily Juice, a little juice bar in Austin, Texas.
Our original products were so popular, we perfected our recipes and made our move to become the superfood snack innovator we are today. GOOD FROM THE START
We source kale from two to three regions in North America, depending on seasonal weather patterns. Since high heat can make kale bitter, we partner with kale growers in a variety of locations to ensure we get the sweetest, most consistent plants available. Most of our kale is grown in the Bajio region of central Mexico. This region is well known for its temperate climate, fertile soil, and adequate rainfall. In other words, it’s the perfect location to grow delicious vegetables that we use in our products year-round. This helps us maintain consistency in both the product that you consume and availability.
FROM GROWTH TO HARVEST
We purchase fresh, organic kale weekly! By the time it starts its long, low-temperature dehydration process in our kitchen, our fresh-picked kale has been de-stemmed, triple washed and is ready to be made into our crunchy delicious chips. Kale seeds are often sprouted in a greenhouse. Seedlings are transferred to perfectly spaced rows for a 60-90 day initial growth period. It’s a beautiful sight, these fields ‘o kale! After about 60 to 90 days (depending on the weather), kale is hand-picked in the field, loaded into small totes, and rushed to the triple wash station. The fresh-picked greens triple washed (washed, rinsed, and then rinsed again) all in high agitation flumes. Once dry, the Kale is bagged and put in reusable plastic crates and shipped to our dehydration kitchen.
FROM HARVEST TO SNACKFEST
Rather than frying, we create our crunchy Kale Chips by tossing fresh curly kale leaves in our hand-crafted blends of ground organic seeds, veggies, juices, herbs, and spices. Dressed to perfection, the kale is dehydrated under low heat for up to 14 hours to maximize the nutritional potency. Our Lacinato Kale leaves are roasted in a delicate high oleic sunflower oil and seasoned to perfection for a delicious taste and crunch – as if they are right from your own oven.
We partner with farmers to source kale that is certified organic in accordance with OCIA International, a USDA-accredited certifying agency approved to provide organic certification in accordance with the USDA’s National Organic Program.
We use superfood ingredients to deliver snacks packed with pure, delicious awesomeness — antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, protein, and fiber —in every bite.
BEETS: High in nitrates, fiber, and potassium.
CARROT: Very high in vitamins A and beta carotene.
CAULIFLOWER: High in vitamins C and K and fiber and a good source of antioxidants.
KALE: High in fiber, protein, vitamins A, C, K, and antioxidants.

PINEAPPLE: High in vitamin C and manganese, and a good source of vitamin B1, vitamin B6, dietary fiber, folate and pantothenic acid.
RED BELL PEPPER: High in fiber, vitamin A, B6, C, E, and folate, and a good source of vitamin K, thiamin, riboflavin, manganese, niacin, and potassium.
SUNFLOWER SEEDS: High in essential fatty acids, fiber, protein, vitamins E, B6, B1, iron, magnesium, manganese, and phosphorus.
TAHINI (GROUND SESAME SEEDS): High in essential fatty acids, fiber, protein, vitamins E, B6, B1, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc.
TURMERIC: Active ingredient is Curcumin which is a powerful antioxidant and can reduce inflammation.
WATERMELON: High in vitamin C and a good source of vitamin A.
